My interactions with Joey were my favorite part of the home buying process. I'm a big numbers guy that knew how mortgages work but have never gone through the purchasing process to obtain one. Joey was more than happy to assist me with any questions that I had throughout the process, and he followed-up with me at appropriate times without feeling pushy like many companies do when trying to get my business.I reached out to four different banks/mortgage companies for our house purchase, and truthfully, Neighbors' offer was not that competitive on the interest rate or the closing costs. (For reference, I reached out to Neighbors, Rocket Mortgage, Churchill Mortgage, and Chase Bank). Rocket came back with the lowest interest rate and overall package. Upon sending their offer to Joey, he went to bat for me and was able to not only match, but beat Rocket's offer by ~$1,500. After sending back over the offer, I was still a little confused, so Joey walked me through line by line to show me how he was beating Rocket by a sizable amount. The only items Rocket was "beating" Neighbors on at this point were the estimated taxes, home insurance, and other closing fees that they didn't have control over. I appreciate that Joey had conservative numbers in these sections because we knew that he wasn't trying to lure us in to get our business by estimating low on items he didn't have control over.Everything that I have outlined above shows how I felt like a cared-for customer throughout the process. Joey has a great personal touch, and there is no doubt in my mind that he treats each of his clients with this level of respect and personal service.
