I came across Neighbors Bank online by chance. I applied online and received an immediate response. Chris Whitt helped us with every step of the process from the first minute. He is truly an expert and a legend in his field. My advice to first-time homebuyers like me is to absolutely trust Chris Whitt, John Wilson and their team. You will never regret it.
The entire team I had was great! They are quick to answer any questions you may have. The portal system in the app with the itemized to-do list made things simple especially for a first time home buyer like myself. Great experience overall!
I never actually spoke with loan coordinator or officer directly over phone. It was through email like we were texting buddies. Never knew what was going on. Had to wait hours for replies

Relying only on emails, with long delays and no real connection, is not the experience we want for our borrowers.

Our loan officer Andrew Barlow was super awesome! Always friendly and willing to answer anytime I had any questions no matter how small my concern was! My realtor even commented on how good he was…she said she could tell he really cared! Neighbors bank worked great with us and the process went so smoothly!

As a first-time homebuyer, I really appreciated her patience and clarity. Everyone from beginning to close was very helpful and walked me through each step along the way! The online portal was very user friendly and easy to navigate!
The beginning of the process of buying a home was nice. Christina Jordan did a wonderful job with staying in touch and helping out with things that needed to be handled in the earlier stages of started. Later on in the process got a bit bumpy and a few things could have been a bit better. I feel as a client the ball was dropped on me a few times. The communication from my loan coordinator was very awful and it took me and my agent several times reaching out to get a response back. Some of the information was misleading to a point I was extremely frustrated. The underwriters fail to let us know we needed to have more testings done until 2 days before my first closing date. My closing date was thrown around 4 separate times. The reason I wouldn’t recommend a referral is because I had already recommended 2 other people during the process of first buying and again the ball was dropped on me and I get very little to no communication. When communication was there it was misleading.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I’m glad to hear Christina Jordan provided great support early on—that means a lot to us. But I’m truly sorry that the rest of your journey didn’t reflect that same level of care and consistency. Delayed responses, unclear communication, and last-minute underwriting requests are not acceptable, especially when they impact your ability to close on time and with confidence.

Very helpful and understanding
Hello My Friends,My experience was excellent with Neighbors Bank. Lane B. my Loan Officer and Mariah D. my Loan Coordinator were Great! From the beginning with Lane he was top notch in everything, and that same professionalism and friendship was set all the way through with Mariah. Had issues closing the house multiple times. Had to take time off work only to be told 30 minutes before closing that it would not be possible.

Having to take time off work—only to be told last-minute that things wouldn’t move forward—is incredibly frustrating and disappointing. You deserved clear communication and a reliable timeline, and I regret that we didn’t deliver on that.
